Who are my ancestors?

At some point, don't we all ask this question? When I was a kid, I wondered about this all the time. Was I related to a famous hero? Maybe a knight or a king... Last year, I set out to answer this question and see what I could find out. With the help of ancestry.com I was able to trace an astounding length of my family tree, and this is what I found.
Like most of us, I can't claim any one single group, or nation, as my ancestors. There were, in fact, many. As I traced my roots back through time, I found ancestors from Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Denmark and Norway. Many were from a long line of Viking Kings. I was amazed as I was able to go back still further and find Roman Emperors. All these results were just from tracing a few of the many branches of my family tree. Below I list some of the "notables" from the list. I've even included a few links so you can read about them. If you know of links to any of those below that don't have any, please contact me.
